In brief: Nael is a financial performance analysis service based on importing accounting ledger data β the French Fichier des Γcritures Comptables (FEC) or an equivalent general ledger export (CSV). It produces an exportable diagnostic report (4-page PDF). Scores, alerts, and action plans are decision-support tools β they do not replace professional advice from your accountant or advisor.

Nael provides a financial performance analysis service for independent professionals and small businesses. The Service relies on importing accounting ledger data β the FEC or an equivalent general ledger export (CSV) β submitted by the Consultant appointed by the User from their accounting software.
From this data, Nael calculates financial indicators, compares them to industry benchmarks associated with the User's NAF code (French business activity classification), and generates a diagnostic report including:
This report is available in the dashboard and exportable as a 4-page PDF. Nael may evolve certain features; the User will be notified by email in the event of a material change.
Reports, scores (e.g. "Fragile"), alerts, and action plans generated by Nael are decision-support and statistical diagnostic tools. They do not constitute legally binding accounting documents, nor regulated tax or legal advice. They do not in any way replace the advice, validations, or judgments of a Consultant or other regulated professional.
The User remains solely responsible for their business decisions. Any alert (VAT, expenses, cash leakage, treasury) or quantified recommendation must be confirmed with a Consultant before any tax, payroll, or legal action.
Indicator accuracy: displayed indicators (food cost, payroll, cash position, EBITDA, financial score) are calculated from the imported accounting ledger data. Their accuracy depends directly on the completeness and quality of accounting entries recorded by the Consultant. Nael displays a reliability level for each indicator (reliable, estimated, partial) based on the chart of accounts and labels encountered.
Registration for Nael is open to any independent professional operating in sectors covered by the Service. Account creation is immediate upon receipt of the registration form.
Nael reserves the right to refuse or suspend access, particularly in cases of violation of these Terms, manifestly inaccurate information, or fraudulent use of the Service.
Registration requires the following information:
The User certifies the accuracy of the information provided. Any manifestly false information may result in immediate account termination.
The Nael Service allows the User to:
The appointed Consultant has read-only access to their clients' dashboards from the dedicated consultant workspace. The User (the Client) does not upload any documents to Nael themselves. Nael is not accounting software and does not replace the software used by the Consultant.
The User agrees to:
The first Nael financial diagnostic is free. Each User receives one diagnostic, with no credit card required. No subscription is needed to obtain this first diagnostic.
A second diagnostic cannot be run on the same account. For an updated analysis of your figures, Nael offers optional monthly monitoring (Essential plan and above). These paid plans are separate from the initial diagnostic.
Nael reserves the right to amend these Terms. Any material change will be notified by email with a minimum of 30 days' notice.
Nael may offer a referral programme allowing a User to invite other restaurant owners to benefit from the free diagnostic. Any terms of this programme will be communicated separately and do not affect the free nature of the base diagnostic.
The Nael software, its analysis algorithms, user interface, reference database, and editorial content are the exclusive property of Nael SASU.
The User retains full ownership of accounting ledger data imported by their Consultant and of the Management Data calculated from it. Nael claims no rights over this data and never uses it for purposes other than providing the Service (except explicit opt-in to benchmarks β see Section 12).
Principle: contribution to the Nael performance reference is disabled by default for all Users. No data, even anonymised, is aggregated without explicit consent.
Voluntary opt-in: Nael may, after several months of use, offer to enable anonymised contribution to the performance reference. This activation is always voluntary, explicit, and revocable at any time from the account settings.
If the User enables opt-in, Nael may use strictly anonymised and aggregated financial ratios (no name, no SIREN, no email, no identifying data) to calculate averages by business profile. These averages enable comparisons such as: "your expense ratio is 31%; the average for similar establishments is 29%."
Aggregated data comes exclusively from accounting ledger data imported by appointed Consultants, after complete anonymisation (removal of SIREN, name, email, and all identifying information).
Nael SASU shall not be liable for:
Nael SASU's total liability to the User, for all causes combined, is limited to β¬100 per User, the Service being provided free of charge.
Nael processes User data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU Regulation 2016/679). The Privacy Policy details all processing activities: privacy policy.

The Mistral DPA is available on request at hello@nael.so.
Vercel, Cloudflare, and Stripe are US legal entities. Data transfers to these subprocessors are governed by:
The User does not upload any documents to Nael themselves. Accounting ledger data imported by the appointed Consultant is processed. Mistral AI receives only the minimised accounting data necessary for analysis; Stripe receives data only if an optional paid plan is subscribed.
The User invites their Consultant from their dashboard. Once the mandate is accepted, the Consultant may import the Client's accounting ledger data into Nael from their accounting software and access their clients' dashboards in read-only mode from the dedicated consultant workspace.
The User retains full control of this access at all times: they may revoke it from their account settings, without notice or justification. Revocation takes effect immediately.
Nael receives the FEC or general ledger export (CSV) exported from the Consultant's accounting software and analyses it to calculate financial indicators (score, KPIs, alerts, diagnostic report). The accounting ledger data remains the property of the User and their Consultant. Nael does not modify it and does not retransmit it to any third party.
By the User: at any time, without notice, by email to hello@nael.so. The account is closed within 48 hours. Data is deleted within 30 days of closure, except where legal retention obligations apply.
By Nael: in the event of a violation of these Terms, with email notification and a 7-day period to remedy the breach. In cases of serious misconduct (fraud, abusive use, security breach), closure may be immediate.
Nael reserves the right to amend these Terms. Any material change will be notified to the User by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If the User disagrees, they may close their account at no cost and without justification.
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable resolution before initiating any legal proceedings. Failing agreement, the competent courts are those within the jurisdiction of the Paris Court of Appeal.
